  3. Crosswinds Blocks — Breadcrumbs Block

The breadcrumbs block allows you to display a breadcrumbs section on the post or page to let people know where they are on your website.

Settings/Attributes

  • This block uses all of the spacing (margin/padding/block spacing), colors, borders and typography settings.
  • Attributes
  • Align – Whether to align the breadcrumbs to the left, center or right.
  • Separator icon – What type of icon should go between the breadcrumb items.
  • Breadcrumbs schema – Whether to include the microdata schema for the breadcrumbs. If you’re using an SEO plugin that adds this automatically, you’ll want to unselect this option.

How to use the block

Using the breadcrumbs block is really easy. It’s highly recommended that you use this in your template files, so you’ll want to go to the site editor and select the template you want to edit. Then add this block where you want it to be in the template (ideally it should be near the page, post or archive title).

Once you save the template, the breadcrumbs will show up on that template in the front end.
